So you may have noticed that I’ve been pretty MIA recently (well, since November really) and you may have been wondering where on earth ive been all this time!
Well, the truth is, is that I just haven’t been myself. I’ve had a lot of mental health things going on that I’ve been taking care of, so I’ve taken lots of time for myself doing things I love and so blogging has just taken a backseat!
I’m going to try and come back to my blog a bit more frequently now, but I probably won’t be as active as I used to be still. Honestly, sometimes reviewing books on my blog took the enjoyment out of just reading a book for me; it started to feel like more of a chore than a means of escapism. Has anyone else found this?
So anyway, here’s a brief breakdown of what I’ve read so far this year:
When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalithini ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Heart of The Matter by Graham Greene ⭐️⭐️ (DNF)
Another Brooklyn by Jaqueline Woodson ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Queen of Shadows (TOG #4) by Sarah J Maas 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
What Was Never Said by Emma Craigie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Considering that my Goodreads target for the year is 40 books, I think I’m going to have to pick up the pace a bit…! 😂
